4 TH NATIONAL SEMINAR ON CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY INTIATIVE-2019

 

 


8 June,2019, Bhubaneswar: Initiating with the pledge of uplifting the downtrodden

community in our society, the 4th National Seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility

Intiative-2019 was held on 8 June,2019 at the Hotel New Marion, Bhubaneswar inviting a

number of representatives from different companies, students and enthusiasts all over the

India. The seminar was successfully hosted by the Institute of Quality and Environment

Management Services, Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad and Odisha State

Productivity Council. The main theme of the Seminar was “Transition to Transformation

–The next Gen CSR”.

 

At the commencement of the seminar, opening remark was stated by the Session chairman

Dr. S.K.Panda, IAS(Retd.),Former Secretary ,Ministry of Textile. 11 invited speakers

addressed issues regarding funding by large companies at project sites, balancing the

development with CSR Funds etc.10 students of ICT-IOC BBSR were provided opportunities

to witness the national seminar and were accompanied by the Dean of ICT-IOC, Mr. Satish

Kumar Sarangi and Prof. Dr. Rambabu Dandela.

 

Companies attended included DRDO, NALCO, Adani Foundation, GMR Kamalanga, IOCL

Pipeline division, Essar Steel India Ltd, HAL Sunabeda, JK Paper Mills Ltd. Etc. Discussions

included initiatives taken by various small and big companies to help the poor people,

contribution towards female education, providing hospital and medicinal facilities in rural

areas etc. All the companies took a pledge to join hands for saving Odisha from the disastrous

“FANI” cyclone’s after effects.

 

Finally, the students got an opportunity to interact with the delegates and the officials. The

vote of thanks was presented by the Session Chairman and the seminar was concluded

successfully stating a greater cause for our society.
